Hi Kerre,
YAAAAAAAY !!!! we did it !! Myself and Mandy completed the Whangamata 10k in less than an hour !! we were so impressed with ourselves ! we had both been laid up with the flu and tummy bugs and had only had 1 quick run in 2 weeks so as you can imagine we were a bit nervous to say the least but we did it and in our best times yet (actually our only times as its the furthest weve run) .. we had previously run a 7 min k but this means we managed it in 6mins wooo hoo .. i sooooo now have the bug ! cant wait for the next one .. And all thanks to a short fat chick turned marathon runner .. Thanks honey x (now where is that stealth like figure .. i seem to be missing it Hmmmmmm !)
Bev xx (ps pretty miffed our official time was 10mins more than our finishing time but hey ho we know we did it in under an hour !)
My precious boy running to the finish with me (after waiting almost an hour )

Hi Beverly, well done on your race, I am amazed how something like walking in my case can become so addictive. Something 9 months ago, I never ever dreamed I would do. Good luck with your future ones, and I also loved Kerre’s book, just wish I had read it before the race.
Cheers Jackie
